FAQ
What is kimreps?
kimreps is a catalog of links to items from Weidian, Taobao and 1688 — with a photo, a name and an approximate price, ready to order through an agent.
Does kimreps sell anything?
No. We don't sell items, take payments or ship parcels.
You place your order with an agent, who buys the item from the seller on Weidian, Taobao or 1688.
What is a shopping agent (e.g. KakoBuy)?
An agent is a middleman who buys an item in China on your behalf — most shops there don't ship abroad. He orders it to his own warehouse, takes QC photos and ships the parcel to you.
Every agent has its own prices and shipping lines.
How do I buy an item, step by step?
- Create an account with an agent (opens in a new tab) — the links on kimreps lead to KakoBuy.
- On kimreps, open the item and click “Open link”.
- At the agent, choose the variant — the one we listed, if we listed one — check the current price and add it to your cart.
- Pay for the item and for delivery within China.
- Wait until the item reaches the agent's warehouse, then look at the QC photos.
- If everything looks right, create a parcel, choose a shipping line and pay for international shipping.
- Track the parcel until you receive it.
What is a batch?
In the rep community, a “batch” is the informal name for a specific version of a model, usually from a particular factory or production run. The same model can come in several batches of different quality and price.
Names like LJR, PK, GX or OG are informal labels used by sellers and buyers, not official designations.
What does “Best Batch” mean on kimreps?
Our pick of the versions we consider the best quality for a given item. They can cost more than cheaper alternatives.
Individual pieces can differ — always check the QC photos of your own item.
What are QC photos?
QC (quality check) photos are pictures the agent takes of your item after it arrives at the warehouse. They let you check the look, color, size and any defects before you pay for international shipping.
If something isn't right, ask the agent for more photos, or for an exchange or a return. The window can be short — look at the photos right away.
What currency are the prices in?
Sellers on Weidian, Taobao and 1688 list prices in Chinese yuan (¥, CNY). On kimreps we show the price in yuan plus an approximate conversion to złoty, dollars or euros (marked “≈”).
It's an estimate: exchange rates change, the seller can change the price, and the price often depends on the size or variant. Every item shows the date its price was checked.
On top of the item price you pay for delivery within China, international shipping and any agent fees. You can always check the current price at the agent.
How long does delivery take?
All times are approximate. Shipping from the seller to the agent's warehouse usually takes a few days, and QC photos usually appear within 1–2 days of the item arriving at the warehouse.
International shipping takes anywhere from about a week to several weeks, depending on the shipping line and the country. From order to delivery, expect several weeks in total.
Around Chinese New Year, sellers and warehouses take a break, so everything can take longer.
Are the links on kimreps affiliate links?
Yes. Links to agents may carry a referral code — if you sign up or order through one, the agent pays us a commission. You pay the same price either way.
If you prefer, you can search for the same item at the agent yourself.
A link doesn't work or the item is gone — what should I do?
If a link doesn't work, report it on our Discord — we'll check it and either replace the link or remove the item from the catalog.
How do I suggest an item or join the Discord?
There you can suggest an item for the catalog (ideally paste a Weidian, Taobao or 1688 link), report a broken link and ask the community about QC photos.
How are views counted?
We count unique visits to an item page per day — excluding bots and link previews.
